Ann specialises in coaching mums to make changes in their lives - to find themselves again, create time and space to explore their dreams, inject a little more self-care and fun into their lives, go after an amazing job that they never even knew existed, or maybe set up a business they’ve been promising themselves for years!
“I get a real buzz from partnering Mums to create balance in their lives and reach their full potential. I love it when those “a-ha” moments happen as clients open their hearts and minds and give themselves freedom to dream. I seem to attract many creative clients, even Mums who don’t realise they’re creative when they first come to me!”
Ann’s style of Coaching is intuitive and collaborative. She tunes in to clients to understand WHO they truly are before exploring what they want from life and how they‘re going to get there.
“Clients tell me I’m compassionate, warm and energising… I also encourage clients to have fun and enjoy the lighter side of life. I‘m passionate about being a Coach and immensely proud of my clients' courage and achievements.”
Ann came to coaching after 20 years in the Corporate arena, working for blue-chip organisations, most recently American Express. When juggling family life and international business travel began to make her feel “dizzy” with the effort of keeping all the balls in the air, Ann realised it was time to re-examine her values and work-life balance.
“I had a strong desire to find myself again and discover what would really excite and nourish me. I chose Coaching to help me to evaluate what I really wanted in Life. I had a few outline business ideas and very quickly felt enormously empowered. I thoroughly enjoyed the coaching process, to such a degree that I decided to train as a Coach myself.”
Ann trained as a Coach for 12 months with Newcastle College, invested a further 15 months with Coach U completing the Coach Training programme and is currently in the process of gaining International Coach Federation ACC accreditation. She is a member of the ICF and adheres to its ethics and guidelines.
Ann’s personal journey has brought her many joyous events and she’s experienced her fair share of life’s knocks - bereavement of close family, stressful work life, serious car accident, redundancy, divorce and single parenting. All these experiences have given her an immense understanding and empathy for her clients situations.
Ann truly believes It's not what happens to you in life that really matters but how you react to it that absolutely counts.
Since childhood, Ann always dreamed of living by the sea - 5 years ago she took a big leap of faith and made it happen! Ann and her partner, Mike moved the family down from London to the Dorset Coast and lives just 8 minutes' walk (she timed it!) from the sea. Ann now loves running by the sea and takes her children, aged 5 and 15 for picnics on the beach after school. Her preferred mode of transport is now their family sea kayak! Last year Ann & Mike got married at Highcliffe Castle, just above the sea. She is living and breathing the balanced natural lifestyle she visualised for her family.
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!
Live the life you’ve always imagined”
Henry David Thoreau, 1817-1862
For the first time in a long long time, I feel 100% content with my life – in all areas of my life: in my relationship with my husband, as a Mum, at work, embarking on my new career, my friends, and my family; what more could I want!
